Hi, I'm Mohamed Naail, founder of Naalio Travels.
My journey in the Maldives tourism industry began in 2008, working in resort front office operations, guest services and island hosting. For many years, I welcomed international travellers arriving in the Maldives, assisted with check-in experiences, handled guest requests, coordinated services and spent time understanding what guests truly wanted from their holiday.
As an Island Host, I worked closely with guests throughout their stay. From welcoming them on arrival to saying goodbye on departure day, I had the opportunity to learn about their travel experiences, expectations and the reasons they chose the Maldives for their holiday. These conversations helped me understand what creates memorable travel experiences and what guests value most during their stay.
I regularly joined resort excursions including dolphin cruises, snorkeling trips, local island visits, fishing excursions and cultural activities. This allowed me to share local knowledge, Maldivian culture and authentic island experiences while spending more time with guests outside the resort environment.
In 2015, I followed another passion of mine photography. I began working as a resort photographer and later expanded into freelance photography across some of the Maldives' most recognised luxury resorts. Through this work, I interacted with honeymooners, families, celebrities, VIP travellers and guests from many different countries, gaining even deeper insight into luxury travel expectations and customer service.
Over the years, I have worked with and photographed guests across renowned resorts including One&Only Reethi Rah, Cheval Blanc Randheli, Huvafen Fushi, Finolhu, LUX* South Ari Atoll, Anantara Resorts, Olhuveli and many others. I also operated resort photography studios at Sun Siyam Resorts and The Standard Maldives.
Today, Naalio Travels combines all of these experiences. My goal is simple: help every traveller find the Maldives holiday that best suits their needs, budget and travel style. Rather than simply booking a resort, I help guests understand villa options, transfer choices, meal plans, island atmosphere and experiences so they can make confident decisions before they arrive.
Having spent years working directly with travellers from arrival to departure, I understand that every guest is different.
